If you are watching a full episode on The CW channel, follow these instructions to turn enable or disable captions during playback on your Roku device.
- While the episode is playing, press any navigation button (up, down, left, or right) on the Fire TV remote. The play bar, player controls, and other options should now be displayed on the screen.
- Use your remote to navigate to CC/Audio, and press OK or Select on your remote.
- Under subtitles, select None to turn captions off, or English to turn captions on.
- Press the Back button again to return to the episode.
During video playback on The CW, you may also hit the * key on your remote and adjust the caption mode from that screen.
To change the default captions mode on your Roku player, please go to Home > Settings > Accessibility > Captions mode.
