On most VIZIO Smart TVs, if the CC setting is on, applications will also begin displaying closed captions. Pressing the button labeled “CC” on your remote should enable Closed Captions.
If your remote doesn't have a “CC” button and you are watching a full episode on The CW channel, follow these instructions to turn enable or disable captions during playback on your VIZIO Smart TV:
1. While the episode is playing, press any navigation button (up, down, left, or right) on the remote. The play bar, player controls, and other options should now be displayed on the screen.
2. Use your remote to navigate to CC/Audio, and press OK or Select on your remote.
3. Under subtitles, select None to turn captions off, or English to turn captions on.
4. Press the Back button again to return to the episode.
