If you are watching a full episode on The CW app, follow these instructions to turn enable or disable captions during playback on your Android/Google/Chromecast TV device:
1. While the episode is playing, press any navigation button (up, down, left, or right) on the remote. The play bar, player controls, and other options should now be displayed on the screen.
2. Use your remote to navigate to CC/Audio, and press OK or Select on your remote.
3. Under subtitles, select None to turn captions off, or English to turn captions on.
4. Press the Back button again to return to the episode.
To change the default captions mode on your Google or Chromecast TV, please go to Home > Settings > Accessibility > Captions. On Android TV, go to Settings > Device Preferences > Accessibility > Captions.
