Why doesn't The CW App save what I've watched?

The CW app includes a Continue Watching feature on most platforms (except web) to help you pick up where you left off. This row typically appears near the top of the home screen or within a dedicated “Continue” tab on mobile.
 
Because the app doesn’t require a login, your viewing progress won’t carry over between devices. Also, if the app is uninstalled, the cache is cleared, or there’s a temporary data delay, your progress might be lost or not display correctly. We’re always working to improve the app experience, including Continue Watching.
 
When resuming an episode, you might see a screen asking if you want to “Continue" or “Restart." If the “Continue" button unexpectedly restarts the episode, feel free to let us know using the form below. Including your device and the series and episode you were watching can help us look into it.
