Basic Troubleshooting for Amazon Fire Tablet

Update: The CW and CW Seed apps are only supported by Amazon Fire Tablets of the 4th generation (released 2014) and up.

There are a series of troubleshooting steps you can take to ensure you are receiving an optimal experience on The CW and CW Seed apps.

Check your internet connection.

At times, internet connection will drop out causing the app to stop responding.  Go to Settings > Wireless on your device to check that your connection is active and the signal strength is stable.

Make sure your app is up to date.

We release new versions of our app regularly that fix known issues as well as provide new features.  We encourage you to visit the Amazon App Store on your device to download the latest version of the app.

Make sure your device's OS is up to date.

Having the latest OS on your device ensures you are getting the optimal experience from The CW or CW Seed app. Go to Settings > Device Options > System Updates on your device to check for new updates.

Close out other apps that may be running in the background and restart the app.

Having multiple apps open can cause The CW and CW Seed apps to run slower or become less stable.

  1. On the device, tap the square icon to show all open apps.
  2. Tap the X in the upper right hand corner of The CW or CW Seed app to close it.
  3. Then relaunch app from the Apps section.

Clear the app's cache.

  1. From the Home screen, navigate to Settings > Apps & Games
  2. Select Manage All Applications and select The CW or CW Seed app.
  3. Select Clear Cache
